History

In 1980, Thompson Creek began manufacturing energy efficient windows on West Street in Annapolis, Maryland. At that time, we only sold our windows to contractors that then sold them to consumers.

In 1997, our original building was demolished as part of the West Street revitalization project, so we moved the company from West Street to a 20,000 square foot facility on Thompson Creek Road. Our growth and new location also provided us a new business perspective. In 2001, we revamped our strategy to sell windows directly to customers, eliminating the middleman and allowing us to control the full window-buying experience for the customer.

We quickly outgrew our facility on Thompson Creek Road and in 2007 moved into an 80,000 square foot facility in Landover, Maryland with a new corporate headquarters down the road in Lanham, Maryland.
